AJ (Anjanette) Tschupp

Hi! My name is Anjanette Tschupp, but everyone knows me as AJ. Originally from Long Island, NY, I earned my undergraduate degree at Trenton State College in New Jersey before relocating to California for my graduate studies. I obtained my Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University in 2002 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California by 2007. In the spring of 2021, I relocated back to the East Coast and obtained my licensure in North Carolina.

I have worked in various social work settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, a crisis stabilization unit, residential treatment for women with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, private practice, and addiction clinics. Additionally, I have held non-direct service roles in the Quality Improvement, and Workforce Education and Training departments in Riverside County's Department of Mental Health in California.

I offer both in-office and virtual sessions to clients residing in North Carolina. As a secular therapist with extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ population, I am dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment. My interactive approach ensures that each client's unique needs are addressed with compassion and evidence-based practices.
